Please read these guidelines before filling out the entry form.

Submission Guidelines:

A completed entry form must accompany each film or video submitted. Entries must be under 30 minutes in length and submitted on 1/2" (standard VHS in NTSC format) videocassette, NTSC DVD, or NTSC mini-DV tape. Foreign language work must be dubbed or subtitled in English. In addition to your entry, please enclose a synopsis, as well as any press kits, reviews, or publicity materials (if available).

Films will only be screened on NTSC VHS or DVD, sorry no film prints.

Entry Fees:

$0 per entry. Yeah, we said it, Zero.


Cost of shipping films & materials to the festival is the responsibility of the entrant. Exhibition copies must be sent to the festival prepaid. All materials must be labeled with the title of the entry. No materials will be returned unless a self-addressed stamped envelope is enclosed. The festival cannot accept responsibility for damage or loss of materials while in transit. Please use only plastic or bubble pack cases when shipping entries. PLEASE DO NOT USE FIBER ENVELOPES. FIBER ENVELOPES FLAKE AND DESTROY VIDEO EQUIPMENT!

Please enclose a stamped, self-addressed postcard if you wish to receive confirmation that your entry has been received.

Selection and Notification:

Programming decisions are made by the festival directors and our selection committee. We will notify filmmakers by email. If accepted, the presentation video (DVD, VHS, or Mini-DV), will need to be in our office by October 1st. The festival does not pay rental fees for submitted work that is programmed. Be sure to indicate aspect ratio of your film/video as well as any other special screening/presentation information we might need to know.

Return of Submission Tapes:

No materials will be returned unless a self-addressed stamped envelope is enclosed.
